Yesterday morning, members of the Rocky Ford High School football team helped with student drop-off at Rocky Ford PK-12 School. Our elementary students loved being greeted and walked into school by the older students—what an awesome way to start the day as Meloneers!

Yesterday, Chartwells brought their Great American Roadtrip to Rocky Ford PK-12 School!
Students and staff enjoyed a taste of Brooklyn with delicious pepperoni flatbread pizza during this month’s Discovery Kitchen event. A big thank you to Chartwells for making lunchtime extra fun and flavorful!

Tomorrow’s Meloneer Softball game will now begin at 3:30pm instead of the original 4:00pm start time.

Chartwells is taking our students and staff on a Great American Road Trip!
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, they’ll visit Rocky Ford PK-12 School to bring a taste of Brooklyn—serving up pepperoni flatbread pizza during the school day as part of this month’s Discovery Kitchen event.

Congrats, Emilio Vallejos!
Emilio Vallejos earned Reserve Champion in Farm Mechanics at the Arkansas Valley Fair for his impressive picnic table project.
A great example of skill, craftsmanship, and FFA pride!
Donavyn West was named Senior Beef Showmanship Champion at the Arkansas Valley Fair! This fall, he will attend Kansas State University to begin his studies in veterinary medicine.
Donavyn has been a proud member of Rocky Ford FFA for four years and a dedicated 4-H member since his days as a cloverbud.

When Hansel (Omar) Ocana’s goat was injured before the Arkansas Valley Fair and Grady Van Dyk broke his wrist, they worked together to make sure both still got to compete.
Omar, a Rocky Ford FFA member, stepped in to show Grady’s market goat — a great example of friendship, sportsmanship, and FFA spirit! 💛💙

Congrats to Grady Van Dyk, whose steer was named Grand Champion of Market Beef Class #2 at the Arkansas Valley Fair!
With Grady fresh from getting his broken wrist casted, big brother Cayson stepped into the ring to show for him.
Both Van Dyk steers went on to compete in the Grand Drive — an impressive accomplishment!
Cayson serves as Vice President of Rocky Ford FFA, and Grady will be joining Junior High Ag this year.

Congratulations to Annesyiah Camacho, whose welding project was named Farm Mechanics Champion at the Arkansas Valley Fair!
Annesyiah, a proud member of the Rocky Ford FFA Chapter, is pictured here with Ag Instructor & FFA Advisor Wyatt Mincic — a true celebration of skill, craftsmanship, and dedication!

Rocky Ford FFA’s own Donavyn West brought home top honors, exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Steer and earning the title of Grand Champion Senior Beef Showman.
Cayson and Grady Van Dyk also made us proud, each exhibiting a Class Grand Champion Steer.
In the Grand Drive, three of the five steers were owned and shown by our talented present and future Rocky Ford FFA members — an incredible showcase of hard work and dedication!

We love seeing our community enjoy the Rocky Ford School District campus — and we know your furry friends do too!
If you bring your dog onto school grounds, please clean up after them. Let’s work together to keep our campus clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Your help makes a big difference in keeping our schools and grounds looking their best!
On August 5, our Rocky Ford Elementary special education teachers teamed up with paraprofessionals for a day of training to get ready for the new school year.
We’re excited for all the great things to come for our students! ❤️
